Shaved Rutabagas with Lucuma and Black Pepper

This is a great addition to your Thanksgiving dinner table.

They have fibers, minerals(potassium and magnesium), phyto-chemicals, and vitamin C(which is effective antioxidant that is also needed for the production of collagen and the neurotransmitter norepinephrine.)

1 stick of unsalted raw grass fed butter

2 1/2 pounds of rutabagas (yellow turnips) quartered and peeled, shaved a scant 1/8 inch thick.

1 tsp of lucuma powder (this will not only a dose of superfoods strength, but a lovely butterscotch taste to your dish)

In a very large skillet, melt the butter. Add the rutabagas, season with salt and pepper and cook over moderately high heat, tossing, until tender and browned in spots, 10 minutes. Season with pepper, toss and serve.
